The 351 winsor is a great motor. I had an 89 ford bronco and I have 323000 miles on it before it gave me any trouble. I really think that a reliable engine. How well was the truck taken care of?

the last owner that had it used it on his farm for hauling hay and for running to town every once and a awhile the kid that has it now is my cusin and its been mudding 2-3 times but no major muddinghe is getting rid of it cus it is not easy on gas and is looking for something smaller. until he got his intake for it it would take fits sometimesand would backfire out of the carb that has been the only problem with it.

That is a good engine, but good maintenance is the key. If you knowit was taken care of properly, it should be very dependable. You'll also have to decide if the overall condition of the truck satifies you. If so, the $1k should be reasonable.
