NOx Sensor - Help!
Hello,
Thank you for reading my post and possibly providing me with feedback that will help me understand NOx sensors a little bit better. I understand their function and positioning in the truck, but I do not understand their position in the market.
Can anyone help me understand where I can purchase NOx sensors for 17-19 F250, F350, F450? I need to purchase these for a large fleet, but the dealer price points seem outrageously high. As of now, I see no other alternatives.
Additional Questions regarding Ford Sales# HC3Z5L248A & JL3Z5L248B (NOx sensors):
- What are the warranty's on these? (mileage and year)
- Does anyone have an aftermarket variation that they can stand by? If so, from who do you buy them?
Thank you,
Dean

Hi Dean,
I need a little help with this.
I don't know of any NOx sensors on any Fords.
Do you mean Knock sensors? I have yet to come across a bad one, guess I'm just lucky.
If you are having a problem passing an emissions test, Where are you? Older engines , before variable cam timing, utilized an EGR valve to control NOx, whereas newer engines accomplish this with VVT (variable valve timing).

Hanky,
Thanks for the quick reply. I am talking about the f350 superduty. I am speaking about the NOx sensors, no the Knock sensors. Not looking to pass emissions testing. My truck is stuck in limp mode until i replace the sensor. just looking for a cost effective place to do so.
