Default Steering Shaft 1979 F250

My '79 F250 needs a new heavy duty steering shaft, but when I check LMC and other sources, I can't find the correct shaft. All of the shafts I find, my mechanic says it is not the correct one. Can anybody direct me towards the correct shaft/site?

I can suggest 2 possibilities.
1. Start with a salvage yard, most have teletype connections and can check throughout the country. You might need to be specific as to where any wear might be evident.
2. You might try , "Vintage Parts Inc., located in Beaver Dam, Wisc.
