Default Stuck trans selector

Hello, so I recently did a 3in body lift on my f250 and when I went to disconnect the linkage to add the extension I moved the selector all the way back and now it’s stuck. It’s stuck right at the trans, where the neutral safety switch connects. Is there anything I’m missing? Anyway to free it up?

It really shouldn't be stuck if nothing is broken. What you may be feeling is the tough detent spring inside the trans. You can move the arm through R<N<D<L without too much resistance, but when you place it in park position the flat spring with small roller is intended to hold it safely in park and it takes a little more force to get it out of park position. All it is , is a small roller under spring pressure inside a deeper tooth . With cables and levers you have a mechanical advantage so you don't really notice the force required to get it either into or out of the park slot.
