It's the manual, just online. It's the best I was able to find. No one has the paperback manuals for it specifically.
Pay for a year and print what you need. Its what I have been doing.

Hey Hanky, the wife's 2007 Mercury Montego AWD Premier and it has about 14,000 miles on it after 6 years. Gets about 13.4 mpg. Hardly ever leaves town nor is driven faster then 45 mph.
Like clockwork the message pops up for an oil change, tire rotation, and a look~see at the brakes.
Early on in the second year the two rear discs were replaced with new pads...I thought that was unusual.
No signs of the shoes dragging too hard.
Nothing unusual after that.
Car runs fine. It was fully paid for when we drove it off the lot.
As long as we buy the oil changes at Witt Ford, they'll R&R the 17" Pirelli's when it comes time on their dime.
The question is Ford Motor sent a notice trying to have her purchase an
'Extended Warranty Transfer' [call for price and high pressure sales pitch I'm sure].
From what I read and watched on U-Tube about the transmission has me worried.
What do you think about the transmixer staying together and working for another 8 years? It's got that ss belt/rod/cone/ thing and if it goes out, it'll be too expensive to fix so figuring it will be dumped on a trade-in of some kind. Should we change ATF just for the heck of it? The owners manual says to refer to Ford...
Thank you. skip.

Thank You Hanky for this quick response. I'm going to roll the dice and not extend the warranty and hope the transmission holds up to diddling around town for many more years. The car will probably out live me.

For you guys looking for a 'Shop Manual', inquire about a 'Parts Manual' too.
I would hope that Ford's Parts Manual was informative and well diagrammed as my Parts manual was for my 1976 XJ 12C Jaguar, 'Ziggy'.
The parts manual orientates you as to the assembly procedure and shows details in exploded views which clearly shows which side of the a 'doodad' goes on what side of a 'thing-a-ma-gig'. The Shop Manual gives you the specs and measurements.
A 'Part Manual' is well worth every penny for those who tear into their cars. On the Jag we actually had 'Muffler Bearings'. A white ceramic ball with two nubs or '****' sticking out to slip a supporting rubber ring under and around a weld tang on the mufflers. Is that cool or what?
