Where is coolant temperature sensor?

Default Where is coolant temperature sensor?
Car was in an accident and I have a sensor hanging down by the radiator which i presume to be the coolant temperature sensor but I am having a hard time find out where it is supposed to go.

You might want to be a little careful with that sensor if it is a sensor. It could be one of the components that deploys the air bag.
The coolant temp sensor is located on the engine.
