Default 2014 ford focus transmission replacement

I have a 2014 ford focus sedan(automatic), and this car has plenty of recalls on the transmission. At about 60-65k miles the clutch was slipping so I had to take it in to get fixed, they payed for it thankfully. I’m looking to put some upgrades onto my car, new wheels and tires, new radio system, among other things. I wanted to know if anyone here has this car and got a completely new transmission, and if they’ve had any problems with it. I’d hate to do all these upgrade to my car and then in a few months- years, have my transmission go bad again and have to dump more money into the car.

I had mine fixed not replaced around 80k miles. I’m now at 202k miles and the transmission control module went out. Since their on National back order we had to replace it with a used one. Now I am having nothing h but issues with it.

I have a2014 ford focusand the transmission went out on me last week.I took it to the shop and they quoted me $4000 for a new one and that just sounds ridiculously high..Anyways as I was searching for a used or remanufactured replacement transmission and I found one here: https://carpartplanet.com/transmissions/ford/focus/2014 for a lot cheaper. Have you all heard of these guys before or, even better, ordered a transmission from there?

Remember if you got what you paid for , you're lucky.
Most professional shops deal with rebuilders like Jasper Transmissions .They require certain things to be done as part of the job, but will guarantee their product.
When you buy a cheapie, make sure you understand the warranty terms and conditions.
If you plan on keeping the vehicle for a few years ,you might consider a remanufactured trans. They come with all the latest modifications and a better warranty.

Hi. I know this is an older thread and somehow I didn't find it when posting a new thread about the 2014 Ford Focus transmission.

But my mom's 2014 Focus (automatic transmission) is having clutch issues again. She had the 'clutch' replaced in 2017 (maybe late 2016) based on the non-recall customer service program. That "Campaign" ended in December on 2021 and she is now having the same issues with the transmission again. Local dealer says $2700.00 to replace it.

Obviously I'm not happy with about this. From a bit of searching online for 'average' price of replacing the clutch in a 2014 Ford Focus with automatic transmission, I found that it's between $900.00 - $1200.00.

Any thoughts, suggestions, experiences shared on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Remo
