No horn with key in ignition
Hi new here. Had a problem with no crank when turning the key. Found out that the pin that excites the ignition switch was not pushing far enough. So on YouTube a guy shows how to use a button and jump the starter wires.
MY question is what does that ignition switch run. If I take the key out I have horn and light's to the cruise. If I put the key in and turn to on lose horn and light's to cruise and when running no horn or crurise. Has anyone experience d this.
Thanks. Sam

One of the things that comes to mind is possibly a poor connection either from the fuse panel or ground for the inside of the vehicle.
I would make sure of power and ground to those 2 items before moving on to anything else.

Thanks for your input.
why would the horn work when the key is not in tumbler? If you look At the ignition flange a plastic pin pushes on the ignition switch. There is a plug with a bunch of wires 2 of them are for the starter. I was just wondering if the steering wheel controls ice. Cruise control buttons and horn run through the ignition switch. If so there is my problem.

What do you mean by "lights' to the cruise"? This is what is confusing me most about your post.
The horn should always have power regardless of switch position or even if key is in ignition.
