Recently my truck started to be nearly impossible to go into gear without forcing it into gear, so I'm looking at getting a replacement trans, any recommendations on what I should get?

 

I think it's a bit premature to condemn the transmission without verifying proper clutch operation.

 

Some addl info maybe,
Is it hard to get into all gears , certain gears, or just into 1st gear?

There could be different reasons for each condition and I agree clutch operation should be verified working correctly BEFORE jumping into trans replacement when it may not be necessary.

Do you know how to do that?
