2011 Navigator 5.4 surging
Have a 2011 Navigator with the 5.4 I have a surging while at low rpm between 1000-2000 ball park anything higher I don't notice it. Been misfiring as well though I replaced plugs and coil packs and it still misfire just not near as bad. Has the intake replaced with new gaskets as it had a crack in it. I checked with brake cleaner spray for vacuum leaks to no avail. I'm pretty far from home with limited tools and money so I'm trying to figure this out with what I got. Which would be a multi meter, socket set and a knock off code reader that reads live data ish. Things I have tried include the plugs and packs, unplugging the battery to rest pcm, unplugging maf sensor while engine is running(barely a change occurred in idle). Another note I had gotten the 🔧 icon in screen and stuck in limp mode until restarted truck. To add, I was watching vacuum on my little reader plugin I have and I use to idle 600 rpm at -14 now it's still at 600 rpm but -22 after coils.?!.

As in read the codes or live data as while its running woth graphs n such if so what do i meed them to be looking for
Still waiting for a shop with availability to live scan. One thing I wanted to mention. I had the Intake manifold replaced and all plugs and for 50miles after it ran fine then slowly started misfiring again. Also, when I changed the coil on plugs it helped some and vacuum at idle went from 14 to 22? But has a steady missfire at idle and driving not hard just consistent
In the realm of waiting I found my $13 scan reader thing I bought from wish actually records from previous drives. Showed 27 count missfire cylinder 7 so I replaced the ignition coil and it's running really good not perfect. So now I'm thinking I may have a bad injector killing my ignition coil? That was the same ignition coil the shop had replaced and was new. It worked good for lil ways down the road and slowly got back to bad. I also heard something about the 5.4 3valve having a roller issue with cylinder 7 hope it's just an injector. If anybody has some wisdom on this lemme know I still have a week before shop gets me in.
If anything goes bad again I'll add to post. Right now it fixed the missfire and just gonna chop it up to being a crap new Ignition Coil the shop put in. Still have light surging here and there but no missfires so I'm guessing they're separate issues. May be a month from now but when I figure that out I'll post it here for future folks.
Issue came back got it into shop compression checked out moved injector plug and coil to all different cylinders still get missfires in #7. So now I'm thinking new engine or something. If it's a rocker follower not sure how easy or hard it is to change solo can't afford a shop to do it they already got me for about 3k
