The wiring at my fuse box does not match what's in the owners manual. The number 1 slot is for power to the dome light, map light and more,i went to pull the fuse and there's none at the slot, empty, There must of been a wiring change some time during the 2017 year which wasn't changed in the manual. Is there a site for a updated wiring diagram? 2017 F150, 2.7L, 4x4,Crew Cab ,,Thanks
Most vehicles have 2 fuse panels,
One is usually located in the cab on the driver's side at the dashboard and the other , "Power Distribution Panel" located under the hood in the engine compartment by the driver's side fender. Make sure you are looking at the correct one.
I have the right one,i had two guys look at it and they're starching their heads as too what is with it,Ford must of rewired the truck layout some time after the book was put out..I need to go to the dealer on Monday and see what they have to say about it.Thanks for the reply
Thanks for the info, the kick well panel is the one i am working at,.The F1 fuse is missing and the lights work. Why? VIN is 1FTEW1EP8HFA28878 ,hope that may explain something.
This is a Canadian model, "service data may be unavailable" dont know what that means honestly.
The vehicle does not use F1 in the BCM.
Nothing abnormal in the warranty history.
Maybe you have a misprinted owners manual or even the wrong owners manual.
Why are you looking at fuses? You havent said that anything is not working, you are saying that stuff is working which in my experience if not a issue.
Here is the breakdown of what each fuse does for both fuse boxes.
I am looking for a way to shut down the interior lights,= Fuse. Last week after a freeze up the doors froze shut (-25C) and only one door opened, long story short,i damaged the latch lock and now the door will not close all the way leaving the interior lights On while driving at night and when parked.I have managed to duct tape it tight enough to shut off lights when parked but once in awhile when driving the lights come on . Parts are ordered for delivery in the new year. I must have the USA owners manual because it shows the BCM fuse #1 is for dome, courstey ,inside lights and there's no fuse.
Looking at the info you sent me I can't see such a fuse anywhere for the lights at the BJM or BCM,,I looked 3 times..So i guess it's up to the dealer to help me until the parts arrive..Thank you for your time, once i solve the issue I'll post what i find out
Interior lights seem to be controlled by the BCM using a FET so there is no fuse to pull.
Option one you could jump the wiring for the door latch so the vehicle thinks its closed.
Option two you could remove the interior light bulbs.
I loosen the latch screws and gained enough too pull it forward,it's locked now.Lights Out..
I think i figured out why the fuse is missing,,the power seat relay is also on that fuse,,i don't have power seats, from the factory..they set it that way.
I'll ask the dealer which fuse to use , when i pick up the parts,,Thanks for the help..I'll post the dealers response.
