Default Brake light switch

I have a 1949 Ford Coupe. Do I need to worry about brake fluid when installing a new brake light switch or os it just a screw in?
Thx

Hopefully, if you have everything ready and do it fast , no air should get into the system.
That is if it is a hydraulic operated sw.
Don't know if it is mounted at the brake pedal inside the vehicle with that year or under the hood in the engine compartment.
If mounted to pedal assy, you can take your time.
