Help or suggestions with 1990 efi 302w
I need a new intake manifold for my 302 efi on my 1990 grand Marquis (it's pitted and leaking) I have a mustang ho intake now I know it fits but my issue is with the throttle body should I use the same old efi throttle body and injectors or should I try and get ahold of the ho throttle body and Orange injectors if So is there anything weird that has to be done to get them to work and what cars have a 60mm throttle body and Orange injectors other than the mustang

A lot of work and research goes into getting good longevity and performance from an engine when built and certified. Sometimes we get lucky and swap a few things without any problems, however, the research and designing that was done for hopefully getting good performance from a system takes into account things we don't ordinarily pay attention to and now changing physical parts without knowing if the systems as designed will accept the changes and perform without also changing other parameters could open a can of worms. The big question is , will the computer accept the changes without being modified to perform as it should.
If more air is allowed to go into the engine, more fuel must also go in there. If the computer and system is designed to illuminate the check engine light because more fuel is now required because the original operating parameter doesn't match the present requirement , what did we do ?
