My in dash navigation system went down when updating
Ford released and recommended an update for the in dash navigation system. When installing it on our 2014 Escape Titanium, the entire nav. system crashed and nothing comes on anymore. No maps, no compass, no clock, no radio, no nothing! Took it to Ford dealer for repair and they claim they can't fix that. What's up with that?!
Without looking at the vehicle its gonna be pretty hard to tell you whats wrong.
Its possible something went wrong with the update you attempted and somehow messed up the computer(APIM). I suppose the dealer will need to start with checking the module to see if its got power and ground and go from there.

Same thing happened to me. Ford dealer was useless. Hope it turned out better for you.
I'm considering upgrading to SYNC3 if I have to pay through the nose anyway.
