Question answered elsewhere - 2004 Freestar intake runner clips
Good afternoon all!
I would really like some advice regarding yet more repairs the garage is telling me that I need on my van.
In the last 3 months I have had more than $3400 (Canadian) in repairs to the vehicle which were brakes, rotors, tie rod ends, wheel bearing, cv axle, ABS wire, ball joint, stab links, coil, spark plugs & wires; I am 100% certain that the previous owner did nothing more than have the oil changed.
Today was the coil, spark plugs & wires as the van was throwing a P0303 & P0316. Upon picking up the vehicle, there is a note on the sheet which states that the "Intake runner clips are broken..blah blah" and quotes it as a $2300 repair. I have been using google which keeps coming up with these little farts as the answer (picture or link will be below) and I need to know if that's what they are talking about.
Thanks in advance!

Yep that's them. Three of my four broke. Stealership wanted $7 a piece! I found a bag of four for around $3 USD at an aftermarket auto parts store. If the Intake Runner Manifold Control isn't connected via these clips it will throw codes. I can't remember which ones I had. Replaced the clips, reconnected the IRMC and my codes went away. I hope you didn't pay $2300!

My local dealer "only" wanted $250 for the IRMC bushing installation. He also "only" wanted $475 to install a fuel rail pressure sensor. Both 30 minute repairs and less than $80 in parts. Yet another withdrawal from the karma bank - as if cash for clunkers wasn't enough.

IRMC bushies
I replaced those bushings twice on the outer ends - took about 1/2 hour, and my hands were cold. light setting on the needle nose vise grips hold them in place while you squeeze it in. Now I squirt some liquid wrench lithium spray grease every now and again. Not sure if it helps.
