Unhappy 2005 freestar wont start

my 2005 Freestar { 3.9l }, won't start, at first it sounded like it needed to be jumped after putting a new wiper motor on it, but it still wouldn't start, we changed the starter but now it just does a clunk, when you try to turn it over. I just changed the alternator about a month ago, not sure what to do next, please help

What we need to know is ,
The condition of the battery
If the battery state of charge is low, there is not enough energy to make the motor crank over.
Sometimes a jump with a good set of cables will do the job, but if they are cheapies, well , they don't work very well.
If you replaced the starter , did you make sure the battery cable connections are clean and tight.
How was it determined the alternator needed to be replaced, it could have been a battery problem.
