Wink blinker juice

I just got a 2005 Freestar and the right blinker does not work, I've tried new bulbs, a new cylinder, nada right after I got it a friend of mine was working on it and had it working for a few mins, but the front blinker would stop working then he got the front one working and the back stoped then they both stopped and that is where I am with it right now. any advice would be nice, i know a little about cars but this is beyond me, please someone tell me I just need some blinker fluid, haha just joking thats the first thing I checked!!!!

How does the other side blinker work? If OK, that would kinda eliminate any ground connection problem.
There could be a problem with the signal light sw assy. on the steering column.
