Have a 04 freestar and the unlock button on the drivers door will only unlock the drivers door any suggestions? also is there a way to disable the automatic lock system as I rarely need to lock the vehicle?

 

If you are referring to the system locking the doors once you start moving the vehicle, Yes that feature can in a lot of vehicles be disabled. It requires a scan tool that can access that feature in the system and disable it.
If you are not referring to that particular feature, You might be able to remove the power to the master switch in the driver's door and none of the electric door lock features would work.

 

I had to clean the contact surfaces on the door switches on my '04. In addition to the locks, my mirror would only adjust in three directions out of 4. I had to be careful not to break the tabs.
