Default malfunctioning overhead console

A couple of weeks ago, the temperature display on the overhead console of our 2006 Freestar suddenly changed from displaying temperature in Farenheit to Celsius. It's annoying, but we've tolerated it.

Yesterday, though, the odometer began displaying kilometers instead of miles, and this is far more annoying.

The manual has been misplaced. I looked it up online, and it says to change it in the message center -- which our particular model doesn't have. Is there any way to reset the display so it shows US-standard measurements?

Thanks.

To switch the display from Metric to English without the Message Center, press and hold the button on the cluster for three seconds. The temperature display in the overhead console will also be changed.

Which button are you referring to? The one that switches from odometer to trip odometer?

I'll give that a try when I head out later. Thank you.
