Default Caliper piston not retracting

Hi,

I'm replacing rear pads and rotors on my '07 Freestyle, the driver side was no problem but on the passenger side the caliper piston will not retract at all. It's not budging. Any suggestions please?

if the ebrake is not incorporated into the rear calipers,

the piston should push straight back...if it doesnt, replace it.

Thanks primem,

The pistons are the screw in type, the driver side went in fine but the passenger side seems either seized or there is too much pressure behind it to push it in.

then you need a special piston tool to screw it back in. if it won't retract with the tool...replace the caliper.
