horn not working

RE: horn not working
I have the 2006 Freestyle. I will look at my owners manual for the location of the horn relay, fuses and fuseable link. The horns are easily visable looking into the grill on mine. There are two horns, so I don't think it's the horn itself, but anything is possible. You can hook a test light up to the horn connection and the other side of the light to ground, press the horn. If it lights, the horns are bad. If not, it could be a fuse or relay. The only other thing, and I had it on two Escorts, was the horn switch in the steering wheel. If that's the case, have a mechanic hook up a separate button. Otherwise they have to open the steering wheel, which is mega expensive, because of the airbag. I wouldn't play with the horn wires myself, because even using a tester on the air bag wires can set off the airbag and they often run in the same bundle. One mistake and then you have a hugely expensive repair.
