2018 Ford Fusion Energi: Strange/Disgusting Smell
Hi, I’m smelling a rotten egg smell in my car, and I took it to my Ford dealership (Fullerton, CA), and my service rep’s not acknowledging the problem. The smell is the strongest when I first enter the car daily, so I even left it there overnight, but my service rep checked it for a few days, and he still does not recognize the issue. He even said this issue does not show up on any of the Ford Fusion Energi across the nation. From my experience though, I stopped driving the car and left it there a couple of days, and when I get into the car to drive it to the dealership on my day off, the smell was really bad and very noticeable, but by the time I got there the smell diffused, and he simply just does not recognize the issue that I’m having.
I’m at a loss for words and now am desperately looking for additional help. I don’t want to drive a car that has a disgusting smell and I strongly suspect that it is related to battery or it is a hydrogen sulfide smell, but since it is a smell, I can’t bring in the evidence of that unless I actually diagnose the problem myself. I’ve seen this issue on other threads, but he said “Just because some people write things online doesn’t mean anything” or something along those lines....
Thank you in advance for insight you may be able to provide!

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping to hear feedbacks from other Ford Fusion Energi owners. Ford Fusion Energi does not come in AWD, and has nothing to do with it. Mileage has nothing to do with it, as it was a new car with less than 20k miles.
As the problem came up, I've driven the car less and less and got accustomed to the smell. The end of lease arrived and I've returned the car. I believe they're discontinuing this model. A bummer, but at the same time, maybe there's some other issue.
