I have a Ford Fusion. We've driven it for 40,000 miles and never saw or heard of MyKey. But 700 miles ago it appeared out of nowhere. I want to disable it. I tried to follow the manual instructions but they were useless.

When I go to Settings->MyKey there is no disable option. Cllicking various arrows does nothing.

I've read that you have to have 2 car keys to do this. We do have 2 keys. My wife uses one and I use the other. Is it possible I need to use her key instead of mine to disable MyKey?

If I do succeed in disabling it what's to prevent it from spontaneously reactivating itself?

 

You should try the second key to disable mykey.
