Angry DONT BUY A 2013 Fusion

New owner who was not told that if something happened to the car, like accident or in my case Deer Strike, that Ford does not have the parts available to fix the car. 6 weeks and still waiting parts like bumper and hood latch. Several contacts with Ford customer service results in “sorry” you should contact a local Ford dealer and order your parts. A local Ford dealer is fixing my car! Ford support on this stinks! I have been a Ford man for over 40 years. Maybe not so much anymore.

They list 2 bumper covers for your vehicle and I checked both numbers. They are available...

Yea, don't hate on the car, go blame the dealer or body shop place you brought that vehicle too. BTW you can't get mad at something you did. Thats like saying dont buy a Microwave i put FOIL in it and it messed everything up.

Having been in similar situations, the squeeky wheel gets the grease !!
Call or visit them daily and demand to know the progress on the vehicle and note where the vehicle is parked. Out of site is out of mind. If you offer to help get the parts let us know their reaction.

phone other body shops and see when they can get it done. Parts availability probably isn't the problem.

Exclamation Update

Ford has contacted me. They agreed parts necessary are on a National back log. I called 7 different Ford dealers and all 7 stated they are waiting parts for Fusion and Cmax. Got it. Yes the deer strike was while I was driving. Don't hate the car, in fact love it. Hate that the distribution process is flawed to say the least. Hate that it took 3 weeks of back and forth with Ford to get acknowledgement there was a problem. Ford is sending (I hope overnight) my parts.

FordLifeSaver, the analogy is cute but really would only apply if I put a deer lick on the hood before I drove it. LOL
