Hybrid 2012 revving very high on the highway
Lincoln MKZ Hybrid 2012 149000 km.
In the city, the hybrid and EV mode works normally.
But tonight, on the highway, on a 100 km drive, the gas engine was revving very high - 4 bars on a possibility of 6 - and it was not recharging the battery. I was driving at 110 km/h and it was -7C outside. Normally, when driving at that speed, it doesn't rev that high.
As soon as I got in the city, at lower speeds, it started acting normally, using the EV engine and recharging the battery.
One month ago, I did reset the battery age using Forscan, as I was having issues when accelerating fr a stop. It immediately solved the problem.
Since then, everything has been going well, except on that drive that I just did tonight. Earlier today, when I did the same drive on the other way, everything was fine on the highway.
Any idea what could be going on?
