Escape 2012 - what will I lose if I disconnect battery
I need to replace the battery on my 2012 Escape. It's in my driveway and I can't get it to the shop, do I'm doing it myself.
I've been reading and watching risks tutorials on changing the battery (looks fairly straightforward), but everyyhing I'm reading warns about losing settings when the battery is disconnected.
Does anyone know what settings are lost when you disconnect the battery in a 2012 Escape?

Things like pre set radio stations, memory seat, memory mirror settings idle settings and some vehicles need to be told via scan tool that the battery has been changed . If for instance the alt was charging to maintain a battery that had a problem holding a charge the new battery wound up getting overcharged. Charging systems have sensing systems to control this , but sometimes problems still came up.
