Throttle Control Issues, need some help
New to the forum, came here looking for some hellp with my 2013 Ford Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost. With 155,000 miles and going, during an oil change I decided to change the spark plugs and clean the throttle body. The throttle body was much cleaner than I expected but the plugs needed changing. I had no idea how old they were since I bought the car used with about 90k miles on it. I cleaned all the black off the throttle plate and was gental when opening it manually to clean it. Put everything back together and now the car would not start. I checked the cel codes and had P06A7 code. I removed the throttle body again and checked all the wiring and connections but nothing found. During troubleshooing this I found the video on youtube how to reset your PCM and start the vehicle to allow it to reteach the throttle mapping. Well when I restarted this time, the engine rev'ed all the way up and was bouncing off the rev limiter. Something is definatly out of whack! Any idea where to start with getting my throttle contol back? I have a very basic scanner, nothing fancy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Remove the intake duct from the throttle body so you can see the throttle blade.
Turn the key on , but do not start the engine. Now go look at the throttle blade, where is it positioned?
It should only open a little to permit a fast idle.
If you forced anything to clean anything, you need to allow it to reset BEFORE starting the engine.
There is a procedure to remove negative battery cable from battery, connect jumper from positive cable to negative cable end ,while still off battery, to allow capacitors in PCM to discharge. . After about 5-10 minutes, remove jumper reconnect negative cable back on battery , turn key on, wait 1 minute, start engine , do not touch throttle , allow it 5 minutes to reset itself at idle., go for a test drive to allow shift points to set also.

Thanks for your reply. The throttle plate was closed when I put it back in the car but cleartly it opened when the car started up after the ECM reset. Will pull it back apart an take a look again when I go back out there. Rain storm ran me inside for the rest of the day. I also have a freind with a better scanner than mine. Hope to do a network scan when he gets it here.
