Default Issue with Remote Door Unlock

Hey guys, I have a 2011 Mustang GT and have been having an issue with unlocking the car with the key fobs. All other functions work properly (lock, open trunk, panic alarm) and I have changed the battery in both key fobs. Also went through the reprogram steps and checked the wiring on the smart junction box but nothing seems to work. It started failing a little over a month ago and would work intermittently but now it has completely failed. Any ideas?

With the window down you can get a general idea of where the locking and unlocking pieces are located Sometimes a little lubricant is all that is needed.
You might try shooting a good quality penetrating oil at the locking mechanism and see if that helps, otherwise disassembly may be required .

!!SOLVED!!

The issue was the metal blister on the unlock button inside the key had become dislodged from the button. I took some tweezers, put it back on the button, and super glued it back into place. Car locks and unlocks every time now. The fact that it was doing the same thing with both keys is what threw me. It probably won't last long but at least I know there isn't anything wrong with the car.

I wanted to make sure that when anyone else has this problem they have an idea of where to look. Looking for the answer I took the SJB out and disassembled it looking for corrosion, bad connections, etc. and I took the drivers door panel off looking for the same. Both were a PITA to do and it didn't fix the issue but I had to try. Many times when folks find the answer to their problem they don't post the solution for others to find.

Now all you have to do is keep sharing your experience with all the folks on the forum, thanks.
