Default 04 ranger....flying snow causes bucking

Looking at this approaching blizzard here in Mass and am reminded of this problem which has repeated consistantly 3 times. When driving fast with snow in the air. the truck will buck occaisionally like a major misfire or something.
Never had it happen in other conditions.
Truck is an 04 Ranger , 4 liter, 4x4 with 210,000(heading for 300,000). Love this truck. Might never forgive Ford for discontinuing.

Something to check, have had occasions where air filter housing got so full of snow it affected the engine performance, starving for air and plugged the filter.

At least in this storm you shouldn't have too much problem since the Gov declared a state of emergency and promised fines and possible jail time for driving out in the blizzard. Hope you guys come out of this OK. Stay warm and safe .
