Default 1993 Ranger 3.0 4x4 5 speed replacement

Hi;

I am new to the forum as of today and am looking for some advice please.

5 speed tranny exploded internally, case is still good. I am being told the only replacement tranny is from 91-94 3.0 only. Is this accurate as I am having trouble locating one?

So far I have removed the transfer case and have a few questions regarding removing the tranny please.

1. What tool can I use to get the tranny bolts out by the firewall?

2. Minimal clearance between tranny and exhaust y pipe. Should I remove exhaust?

3. Can I block the engine on oil pan so it doesn't hit firewall and snap distributor etc? Will the weight damage the oil pan?

Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.
