My 2003 air bag light flashs intermittantly and remains solid. It flashes 2times,pause, and 7 times. It will cycle 2 or 3 times at start up then stay solid.
What is it trying to tell me and how can I remedy this?
I bought the truck with a bad motor , it had 123,000 on it. I did a very low mileage (less than 20k) engine and tranny swap so I don't recall if this was an issue with the air bag light.

I fixed the problem. The code 2-7 stands for the passenger side air bag switch is not being reconized.
I disconnected the battery and changed the switch and all is normal.

 

I have a 2001 Ranger and have the same problem, except when I watched the light it flashed 4 paused then 6. Any idea what that code is or where I can find it. Thanks
