88 ranger front brake "clicking"

Default 88 ranger front brake "clicking"

I have a click click sound as I go down the road. If I lightly apply the brake it stops. I have replaced the caliper retaining pins, but that did not stop it. Is there any other springs or clips that would help? Is the caliper worn out or what. I have not had the front end checked out by a shop yet but all seems to be tight. Any suggestiosn?

my truck did that when i first got it. i thought it was the brakes too and it wasnt it was some stupid *** bearing (spelling??!!) that was going out. i would go in and have your brakes looked at for the simple fact that its something that your *** needs to stop litterally. anyways you could just call the dealer and explain the problem and maybe the could help. maybe your just draggin a pad or something. or maybe your rotars are warped.

I've had the very same problem. You are probably missing the brake pad anti-rattle clip on the outer pad.

I agree, with anti rattle clip, but it goes on lower inside pad to keep it firm in pad bracket.

The last reply is correct. The clip doe go on the inside pad. I remembered incorrectly
