Question 95 Ranger power steering prob.

I have a 95 ranger with a power steering problem. The truck runs great but here lately the fluid in the pump is coming out of the little breather hole in the cap. The fluid level is correct. It just started this with in the last week or so. Is the pump going bad? There is no problem with the way it steers, no strange noises or anything. Any advise would be great. Thanks Shawn

Could be that the fluid level was topped up when it was cold. The fluid expands as it heats up while being driven. If fluid were added to the full mark while cold it could cause your issue. Since there's no apparent problems with the steering, I'd remove a little fluid and see if that cures it.
