ok folks, heres my problem, I start driving my truck down the street. When I push the clutch in and apply the brake to stop the throttle increases. sort of like im stepping on the gas peddle while im stopped, but I am not stepping on the gas, only pushing the clutch in and applying the brake. after a few seconds it idles down and is fine, but it does this when I push the clutch in everytime, even when I take my foot away from the gas. Any ideas on this one?

That's normal -the high idle's acting up. You have a carburetor right?

 

no. its a 1999.

 

when i push the clutch in without having my foot on the gas, such as pulling to a stop the engine revs up slowly as if it is still accelerating.

 

It is accelerating. The computer is handling the idle. It's likely an intake sensor.

 

maybe check the mass airflow sensor, or the throttle position sensor
