Default Hard Clutch.

Hi. We just got done replacing the clutch in my son's 96 Ranger. Except for the top two tranny bolts, everything went fine. Due to budget restraints, he could not replace the slave which was working fine. When he got in to start it, the pedelwould not budgeand will not disengage the clutch. We tried bleeding but that was no help. I can reach in with a screwdriver and move the throwout bearing back quite easily. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you tried bleeding it did you get any fluid out? You may not have the fluid supply line snapped all the way in slave cylinder.

Yes we did. Ran almost a whole bottle through. I was just thinking, if the slave is fully extended, then that means that the pressure plate is loaded, which means that the clutch plate may have been installed backwards right? []It does have one side that is flush and one side that is not.
