Unhappy Need help ordering brake drums

Hey ranger dudes and dudets. I could use alittle help from some one out there.

I have a 98 ranger automatic with 4 wheel drive that i picked up a year ago and its time for new rear brakes.

On line ordering for drums of all brands (even motorcraft)gives me a choice of drums for standard or heavy duty suspension.

I called two ford parts departments and they dont know why there is a choice or a difference in the drums.

They cant tell me from my vin number what i have because the truck is to old.

I know i have torsion bars in front but i dont know what i have in back.

Anybody got ah clue out there?

Sometimes the answer is found in the diameter of the old drum or the length of the brake shoes.

thanks Hanky,
your right. I had to do a physical dimension check on the drums that are on the truck. I just wanted to know what my truck called for. I have 10 inch drums and they sell 3 different 10 inch drum sizes.
well I received them and painted and ready to do the job. thanks again
