No gauge, parking, or taillights
My altornator just recentlly craped out on me. I started my truck after installing the new altornator, and I noticed my gauge lights arn't working. Yesterday somone told me my tail lights arn't working. Also my parking lights arn't working. The headlight, and warning lights work fine. I also noticed that when I leave my lights on, turn the engine off and open the door it dosn't beep to tell me my lights. I've already check the fusses inside my cab, but havn't bothered with the fuses under my hood. Any idea why my lights arn't working? Thanks in advanced.
hey thats a tricky little problem you have there . don't worry though its probally a light switch which you can pick up at auto zone or its a bad running light bulb causing a system short . check your running light bulbs make sure the elements are intacked and then check to make sure they are properly connected . I had the same problem after hitting a bump in the road it was a tail light element that broke causing this prob . so I hope this helps TIm
Well, in my experience, I have seen more connector problems at the headlight switch cause this problem than the switch itself. Heat from a loose pin will cause the blue/red tracer wire to burn. If the condition persists, it will ruin the headlight switch, also.
