Unhappy no spark

hi, have an 86 ford ranger, 2.3 4cyl. got no spark, no powr to the fuel pump, which works fine, we bypassed to test it. the ICM tests ok and so does the coil. We also bypassed the inertia switch, still no spark, no power to fuel pump. have dash lights and she turns over fine. died while driving. timing belt ok, and so is the distributor gear. All of that wouldn't keep power from the fuel pump tho. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Do you have power going to the coil from the ignition switch with the key on?

Question new developement

86 ranger, couldn't get spark or fuel. tested coil, icm, put in new ignition switch. fuel pump works, cleaned ground on block. nothing works. engine turns over. I took out the computer to go to pull n save and couldn't find one. Just for giggles, I tried for spark with no computer installed. It worked, lots of spark. still no power going to the fuel pump, but got spark. "So does this mean the computer is bad? also replaced fuel pump relay. I am thinking It has to be the EEC. any other ideas would help, thank you.
