i have a 1993 ranger 2.3l 4 cyl. im trying to find out were the oil plug is and there is a retangle on the bottom of my engine i guess by the oil pan where a plate belongs there is to what looks to be screw holes i was wondering if anyone knows what im talking about. imm some pictures would be nice thanx.

 

The drain plug is located on the lower back of the oil pan.[hr]The threded holes in the oil pan I think is for a optional skid plate to protect the oil pan for off roading.

I guess so.If that is not what they are for it may have ben used for crating the motor at the factory.

 

Most likely because of cost. It would cost more in manufacturing to have 2 different pieces made, than just 1 fits all, if they need to use the threads they are there, if not, they are still there but not costing anything.

 

hey, i have a 1993 ranger all the clearcoat is intact but it looks kinda milky i was wondering if any one knew of some really good wax i could get. im not talkin bout mothers i want the best. there some stuff at auto zone thats 20 bucks a bottle i dont know the name but i was wondering if anyome out there has tried it. umm thats all for now c ya

 

Yes, the best thing to do is use s clay bar, polish and wax. Maguires is a really good product.

where could i get some of that clay bar at im assuming autozone. also i think i have some problems
i have resently was trying to change my own oil but gave up and just had it done well they told me that my rear seal is leaking, my clutch feels like its gonna go soon and i was wonderin how much this will be ( just a guestamation im sure my machinecs labor is diff. from yours) umm and just how serious all this it umm if i fix the problem will my truck be good for much longer. umm it currently has 135272mi and i now just feeling a little difficulty shifting gear. the clutch pedal has to be pressed all the way down just to engage. umm i gues thats all. thanks for any suggestions

 

You could be looking at it backwards, and be looking where the dust cover goes on teh bell housing???????????????????????/
