I was sold a 1994 ranger 2wd with a 2.3 liter motor. When did the first oil change I noticed that there was no oil in the oil filter that I removed. I imagine that the oil pump needs to be changed. Does anyone have any suggestions or tricks that they know of ?Without removing the motor from the vehicle? I don't know of any garages that rent a place out of the cold to pull the motor and I am not sure that it is worth the hassle to fix this motor or just keep changing the oil and wait till it blows up. The persons that sold me this severely abused dogged out truck with fresh paint and a pound of wax on itand the motor spotlessly clean are probably laughing their selves in a state of stupor over my situation.
