Default Rear ends

I have a 1995 Ranger XLT extended cab 4.0 6cylinder 2wd automatic. Can I replace the entire rear end with one out of a 1999 Ranger 2.3 4cylinder 5 speed manual transmission 2wd. I know the brakes are 9 and mine are 10, I'm wanting to know if the actual rear end will work properly?

Oh, it will probably work, but the gear ratios are what is also important. I would stay with the original brakes, if possible.
