Default Shock Problems

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger, 4.0 L V6 Super Cab 2WD. I have had nothing but trouble finding shocks that are even equivalent to the original . . . sad but true. I understand from a "Ford guy" that this particular truck has a "different suspension; whatever that means. What I do know is that it sits about as high as the 4WD . . . this seems to be an issue . . . and there have been no suspension adjustments to the original. I have Monroe Reflex on all 4 and am really tired of being airborne on most freeways . . . Ford parts said that maybe I had the heavyduty shocks on the rear originally.

Anyone got any ideas???? This is becoming an expensive search . . .

Default RE: Shock Problems

What you have is a 4x2 splash. It was a factory lifted 2wd. The front shocks are a motorcraft part# ash365 $57.53 each. The rear are motorcraft part# ash363 $46.95 each. Call bret at marysville ford phone #360-659-4000.
