Default Transmission problem

I started having problems with my transmission it would not go forward when in drive. I had to put the shift gear in 1 then 2 then it would engage in drive most of the time.I put it in a shop that just does transmission work and they over hauled the transmission and replaced the converter. I drive it back home which was about 100 miles and had no problem. The next day I went to pick up some food and it would not go in reverse and it would not shift from the first gear. I was a short ways from home do I drive back home going slow. The O/D light blinked off and on, as it did before it was over hauled. They are going to pick it up and work on it again. Any ideal what is going on the mechanic said it sounds like an electrical problem.

Sometimes we get lucky and hit the nail on the head. There are also other times when we completely miss the nail,,,,,,,,so,,,,,,,,,I would suggest checking out the MLPS (Manual lever position sw,) on the side or top of the trans. I can't tell you where it is because I do not know whether your vehicle is front wheel drive or rear wheel drive.
Worth checking and confirming it is sending proper info to control unit so proper solenoid (s) can be energized.
Let's see what they come up with, OK ?
