Have a 2002 sounds like a stick stuck in the fan blade showing misfire codes is this the death rattle?

 

Could what you hear be an exhaust manifold leak ? Sometimes a piece of hose going from your ear to the area around #1 cyl at the manifold might help to determine if it is that or something like a broken valve spring for the #1 cyl.
Is the spark plug for that cyl tight?

 

I don't think so
