Default Help With Part Identification

TeamViewer

I am trying to help a friend with a ford explorer XLT that he just purchased. Toward the back of the fuel rail on the passengers side there are 2 vacuum lines that are not connected to anything, and I cannot find where they go. There is a gray connector near the fire wall that has 1 line going in and 2 lines coming out. It is the 2 lines coming out that are not connected to anything. Does anyone know where these go? I thought maybe an evap canister or something?

Thank you

Since all vehicles are not the same, could you help us with the year, engine size, one more pix of the area of the firewall where you think they may have come from? Is the vacuum diagram still under the hood as it would be helpful.

I will try and take some more pictures of the firewall tomorrow. In the mean time it is an XLT Sport Trac 4.0 2004. The third picture down is of the firewall, I believe the heat shield tape on the right side of the picture is protecting AC components located neat the passengers side fender if that helps to give a reference point. I will take some pictures from a little further away.

Thank you
