Default Hose Termination Point 4.6 2007 Sport Trac

Hoping someone can tell me where this hose connects on my 2007 Sport Trac. It is currently not connected and I have been unable to find its connection. I would guess it is a vacuum hose and it can reach almost to the firewall or about halfway the length of the engine towards the front. I have tried to trace the other end but it disappears under the driver’s side engine mount.

Appreciate your help - Hunter

I(t appears to be a vent. Just make sure it stays up high enough so no water can get into it.

Hanky,

Thanks for quick response. I would feel more comfortable if someone that has a 4.6 could snap a picture or tell me for sure where it goes. Do you happen to have a 4.6 and could take a look or snap a picture for me?
Thank You

If you don't have the plastic retainer to anchor it to the firewall, just secure it to keep it up as high as possible and don't drive through flooded roads !
