If you really intend to fix this yourself you should invest in the diagnostic tool, get a digital multimeter (it doesn't need to be Fluke brand, even the less than $10 at harbor freight can do a lot of things). You can check FORScan ELM327 adapter on amazon or ebay (you need a laptop though). Some test lead back probe kit is also helpful.

Here's the "Diagnosis by Symptom" (even though your symptom is not found):

Which Pinpoint Test A to H you need let me know so I can attach that here.
Again, based on your symptom I suggest you to check for vacuum leaks first, especially if your HOT idle speed is NOT between 800-1000 RPM (per ford's spec) but higher.
There are tests that can be done easily in seconds with a digital multimeter, you should test those out first just to narrow down the possibilities.

I actually have a digital multimeter I am checking on the other now but will probably take me a couple of weeks before I can get one.

I just found out I have to have major surgery, I thought it was going to be in July but they have moved it up. I am going to have to delay this for an indeterminate period of time. I thank you for all your help.
