Bad motor driving to shop
I have a 2009 w/ a Vulcan, blowing exhaust into coolant and coolant into crankcase. Question is can I drain coolant, refill with only a very thin oil, like a non-detergent 10w or even food grade oil like Wesson or something simalar then drive this car to a shop? I know it will a fog machine on the way but hopefully without the water (just the oil) getting into the combustion chamber I should be able to get 10 miles out of it or so, any thoughts? I hate to have it towed from shop to shop.

There is a product that may help you get the vehicle to the other shop.
Look up, K-Seal Car Leak Repair: Coolant, Head Gasket & Radiator Sealant . I have never used this product and have no plans to use it, but I would like to know if it really works. If you decide to try it , would you let us know?

UPDATE;: got back to the ol' Taurus this past week. Have tried K&W Head Gasket & Block Repair, in the round green bottle. 3 treatments in a row, follow directions to the T. Have gotten the coolant stopped going into the crankcase, but cant stop the exhaust from leaking into the coolant, coolant systems gets pressurized with exhaust and rad. cap opens and coolant boils out, as temp gauge gets about 2/3 to the H. I have tried running without rad. cap off but the exhaust appears to comming into the overflow tank from the 1 1/2 hose from the bottom, blocking any coolant flowing down into the radiator.
My current brainstorm is to have my air compressor keep a constant 14 lbs of pressure on the system for extended period on time and hope force the sealer into the crack (or cracks), may have to leave on for several days? Any other 'wild hairs' somebody might be willing to share on my dilema?
I hate to throw in the towel on my first Ford car, we have bought 3 more over since 'ol blue' was purchased used.
