Default Dashboard seperating from the dash

I have a 1999 Taurus, and the dashboard is coming up and away from the dash area, right in front of the steering wheel. Since I live in East Texas, and the car sits outside all the time, I know this is more than likely heat related, but how can I re-set the dashboard back together??

I thought that was one of the many Contour diseases....
The crudest method I have seen involved a philips head power screw...

Smile Thanks Bluebird

Thanks Bluebird, I'll check and see if the screws are seated, like they should be. I hope that's all it is too! The heat being a big issue here I think.

No, no Popper, the dashcover in the Contour is glued on and the glue gives. Then the padding lifts off and almost goes into the drivers field of view of the road.
This guy went to the hardware store and put a long screw through the cover and into the dash. It looked ugly. But it saved him from replacing the dash top altogether.
When that happens in my wife's Contour I, will do something very similar, just more discrete. I.e several smaller screws in a color that matches the padding.

How about a strong contact adhesive?

i.e. Liquid Nails.
