I have a gas smell in a 95 Taurus and dealer does not know what to do. Any help? Thanks

 

first take her to meinekee muffler and let them put her on a lift and take a look. they will not charge you anything and will most likely find a loose connetion, coupler, small crak in pipe . if that does not yeild any results you need to look at your fuel filter, and cabin filter all cheap parts. if you still are not finding the issue you need to change the pcv valve which is most likely not the problem but at two buckss it needs to be changed anyway. if you are still getting the smell you need to try one last thing and thats change the air cleaner which is not the isssue but needs to be replaced from tiem to time anyway. good luck.
